Lush’s Lovelife is sort of annoying as a whole, if you—like me—prefer their earlier, actually shoegazey albums (not even the Jarvis Cocker appearance on “Ciao!” makes up for Lush’s weird and not-very-good entry into Brit pop). But, sometimes, I think that “Ladykillers” just blows everything else they’ve done out of the water. There’s, I don’t know, handclaps, and the lyrics are sarcastic and funny and true, and Miki Berenyi is really cool.
This video is also hilarious.
Ladykillers is an amazing song.
