Did you name your son Owen after the character in A Prayer For Owen Meany?
Not exactly, although since it’s my favorite book, it was certainly in the back of my mind. I won’t spoil the book for those who haven’t read it, but there are reasons I thought it wouldn’t be quite right to name him specifically after that character.
That said, I love Owen Meany - the character and the book - and basically, my wife and I just liked the name Owen a lot. We were honestly looking for another “E” name (our other two kids have names that start with “E” - yes, we’re *those* people), but couldn’t find another boy’s “E” name that we liked more than Owen.
